About
Bobby Downs is a man on a mission. A mission to share with every wounded man he meets how Jesus saved him. Bobby spent much of his life ignoring the relentless pursuit of Jesus until it became apparent that a relationship with the Lord was exactly what he needed. He asked Jesus to be his Savior on the side of the road at exit 242 on I-45. Since that day he has prayed and learned and listened to Gods call on his life, 9941 Ministry is the fruit of that obedience.
Bobby is happily married to Jen and they share 4 grown children and two well-loved grandsons. He is also a proud Veteran of the US Coast Guard where he served 20 years as a Boatswain Mate. In 2020 God very clearly placed it on Bobby’s heart to create something for men, to remind them of God’s love for them, and 9941 Ministry was born. Bobby and Jen founded the ministry as an outdoor experience for men to experience a brotherhood in Christ and through those relationships strengthen their own lives and families while furthering God’s Kingdom.
